Sweet Diablo III item tooltips for your website

That's right, Blizzard released the Javascript code to add item tooltips to any link. Just find the item on the official site, copy its url and link it on your website. Job done! Mouseover this exquisite piece of jewelry, for example. Or have a look at this powerful axe.

It works with almost anything currently present in the Diablo III official database, skills and  builds included. Random enchants will not appear though, so you will be able to link the "basic" item. That means we wont be able to brag on our blogs about "that impressive ultrarare drop".

Good tool, thanks Blizzard (I still hate you a little but Titan Quest is saving my hunger for now).

#BLOGGER TIP#
If you make a linked word in bold, it will break the script. Apply the bold first, then attach the link.

  1. Holy crap this is great!!! I just hope they'll have ALL the items in their database so we won't have to rely on third party sites.

Speaking of which... I'm a huge fan of Wowhead. That site is amazing. Yeah, the WoW Armory is shinier in terms of graphics but the info on Wowhead is a million times more useful in the way it's presented.

  2. I love Wowhead. GUI, scripting, tools... everything is perfect. I wish there was a wowhead clone for Diablo :)

  3. Well, like I said, if Blizzard does their armory right, we won't be needing other sites. Or at least if they can offer their items database for free, I can build a Wowhead clone :)
